Overview
Learn how to manage your active and archived journeys in the Novel platform, along with various options to copy, duplicate, rename, archive, restore, or delete them.
Manage Active Journeys
View Active Journeys
To view and manage your active journeys on the Novel platform, navigate to the Journeys page in the main navigation menu. Here, you will find two sub-tabs: Active and Archived. Ensure that the Active tab is selected to see your current journeys.
Each journey is represented by a rectangular card displaying important information. At the top of each card, you will see the title of the journey. Below the title, there are two key elements: a data link and a Start Building button. The data link allows you to view detailed information about your journey's performance, while the Start Building button lets you start or edit the journey.
On the right-hand side of each journey card, there is a three-dot menu icon. Clicking on this icon reveals additional management options. The available actions in this menu include:
Copy Link
Duplicate
Rename
Archive
Use these options to quickly duplicate a journey, change its name, or archive it if it's no longer active. The Copy Link option allows you to easily share the journey's link with others.
Quickly Access Data and Building Options
Use the 'Data' link and 'Start Building' button on active journey cards for quick access to journey details and editing options.
Modify Active Journey
If you want to modify an active journey, click the Start Building -> button within the relevant journey card on the journeys page, ensuring the active tab is on.
Once you click the Start Building -> button, you will be taken the Novel studio. You can make modifications to your journey as needed. After making modifications to your journey, make sure you click Publish twice to save, otherwise your journey will not be updated.

Please note, that if you wish to change the layout – the fundamental driver of the appearance of your journey – you will need to follow our change layout guide which takes you through the process of duplicating your layout while selecting a new layout option. If you are looking for significant changes to appearance, often related to shapes from circle to square and vice versa, you will need to change your layout.
Archived Tab
To view and manage your archived journeys on Novel, navigate to the Journeys tab in the main navigation menu. Once there, select the Archived sub-tab.
In the archived section, each journey is presented in a rectangular card format. These journey cards show a title and an icon. On the right side of each card, you will see a three-dot menu icon that provides additional options.
Restore: This option allows you to move the journey back to the active state.
Permanently Delete: This option removes the journey from your account permanently.

Three-Dot Menu Options
In the Journeys section of Novel, each journey card includes a three-dot menu icon on the right side that provides additional management options. Clicking this icon expands a dropdown menu with several actions.
Copy Link: This option allows you to copy the direct URL of the journey. You can then share this link with others or use it for easy access.
Duplicate: Selecting this option creates a copy of the journey. This is useful if you want to use the same journey setup for different purposes without starting from scratch.
Rename: This lets you change the name of the journey. Use this to keep your journeys organized and easily identifiable.
Archive: This option moves the journey to the Archived tab, keeping your Active tab uncluttered.
In the Archived tab, the three-dot menu offers different options for managing your archived journeys. These actions help you either restore an old journey or permanently remove it.
Restore: Selecting this option moves the journey back to the Active tab, making it accessible for editing or building again.
Permanently Delete: This option permanently removes the journey from your account. Be cautious, as this action cannot be undone.
These options in the three-dot menu provide flexibility in managing your journeys, ensuring you can easily organize and control your content on Novel.
Frequently Asked Questions
You can copy the link, duplicate the journey, rename it, or archive it by clicking the three-dot menu on a journey card.
To restore an archived journey, click on the three-dot menu on the journey card and select Restore.
Click on the three-dot menu of the archived journey card and choose Permanently Delete.
In the three-dot menu of the journey card, select Copy Link to copy the journey's link.
Open the three-dot menu on the journey card and choose Duplicate to create a copy of the journey.
