Configure the cart on the Novel platform to customize the integration according to your preferences.

Cart Behavior Settings
Configuring the cart behavior settings in Novel lets you decide how visitors interact with the cart after adding a product. This section covers the available options.
Direct to cart - Redirects visitors to the 'View cart' page.
Add to cart - Allows visitors to continue shopping without leaving the current experience.
Direct to checkout - Sends visitors directly to the checkout page.
Rebuy cart - Automatically opens the Rebuy cart.
Choose the option that best fits your store's needs to improve user experience and increase conversions. Make sure to save your changes after configuring the settings.
Missing Add to Cart Notification
If you use the add-to-cart feature, users won’t get a notification when a product is added. This is a limitation from Shopify, and Novel cannot change it.
Subscription Settings
To enable or disable subscription settings for products in your Shopify store using Novel, navigate to the Subscriptions section in the product configuration interface.
Enabled: This option allows customers to subscribe to recurring purchases for the product.
Disabled: This option prevents customers from setting up recurring purchases for the product.
Choose the desired subscription setting by toggling between Enabled or Disabled. This feature provides flexibility in managing recurring purchases, helping you meet customer preferences and business needs.
Frequently Asked Questions
Unfortunately, if you use the add-to-cart feature, users won’t get a notification when a product is added until they refresh the page or navigate to a new page. This is a Shopify limitation, and Novel is unable to resolve this at this time.
